Japanese Margarita

It’s always been a dream of mine to put wasabi in a margarita and man oh boy did i ever make my dreams come true!

Enter: The Japanese Margarita aka the WABI SABI MARG 🇯🇵 A savory twist on the 50/50 margarita but with Japanese flavors. Here to remind us that imperfection can be beautiful.

WASABI SYRUP 👇

Add 10g wasabi to 100g each of white sugar and water. Blend, do NOT look at the syrup while blending!! Fine strain and store in the fridge up to 2 weeks.

WAKAME SEAWEED SALT 🌊

Add a pinch of dried wakame and a pinch of kosher sea salt to a mortar and pestle. Grind to desired coarseness. Enjoy on the rim of your marg!

A Japanese twist on the 50/50 margarita

Ingredients

  • 1 OZ BLANCO TEQUILA
  • 1 OZ SAKÉ
  • 3/4 OZ WASABI SYRUP*
  • 3/4 OZ SUPER YUZU JUICE
  • GARNISH WITH WAKAME SEAWEED SALT

Instructions

  1. prepare rocks glass with wakame salt
  2. add all ingredients to a shaker tin
  3. shake vigorously 10-15 seconds
  4. fine strain over ice into prepared glass
  5. enjoy

Notes
